We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Defense Litigation Attorney to join our legal team.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for the job, able to employ exceptional negotiation and communication skills to achieve the best results for our clients.
You will have the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging, and collegial environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of civil litigation from inception to conclusion, including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial.
Conduct legal research and draft substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.
Regularly handle court appearances, depositions, and meetings.
Communicate effectively and regularly with clients, providing them with clear updates and advice on their cases.
Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to each case.
Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.
Continuously update knowledge and stay abreast of changes in the legal field to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.
Maintain high levels of professional conduct and ethics.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
Minimum of 2
years of experience as a litigation attorney.
Proven experience in civil litigation and legal research.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle a high volume of cases.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
