#### Primary Responsibilities
? Responsible for Detergents Laboratory (Household and Laundry Products) that conducts performance testing for these categories. Responsible also for some projects that include Cosmetic and Personal Care sectors.
#### Reporting to
Consumer Testing Services
#### Specific responsibilities
This position will perform hands on laboratory work for performance testing of national brand household products.
Experience with performance testing of powder and liquid laundry detergents, fabric softeners, all purpose cleaners, hard surface cleaners, hand dish and automatic dish detergents. Some knowledge of cosmetic and personal care regulatory desirable.
Provide technical leadership for the lab and direct the activities of a group of technicians.
Execute ASTM procedures or procedures as requested by clients.
Collaborate with sales, BU head, Analytical and interface with clients.
Handle multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
Make recommendations for instrument investments.
Works as an individual contributor by developing and testing solutions.
Stays current with trends, development and innovations in focus industry and the relevant product lines, maintain knowledge of customer application testing, and supports business growth.
Responsible for providing testing solutions to our customers and technical knowledge of Household and some Personal Care segments.
Be able to work in collaboration with internal and external sources.
Check technical records, perform data analysis, and review laboratory reports.
Conduct review of client demands and determine availability of resources and work with sales providing support when developing pricing.
Implement globally harmonized methods from other SGS CTS laboratories.
#### Profile
? Must have a BS in a science field, chemistry, biology engineering etc.with 5-7 years related experience in Household and Laundry Laboratory testing or a MS degree with 4
years related experience.
? Previous project management experience required.
? Demonstrated excellent laboratory skills, data collection and reporting.
? Must possess an in-depth knowledge of Laundry and Household consumer products testing. Knowledge of the Cosmetic and Personal Care sectors desirable.
? Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
? Travel 10%.
? Ability to work in a laboratory environment, which will require standing, bending, sitting, walking, moving objects less than 40 lbs.
? Foreign language desirable, but not necessary.
? Expected to work independently as well as part of a team.
? Must have a customer focus.
? Experience in data recording and report writing.
? A strategic thinker who has effective written and oral communication skills.
? Someone with the ability to translate complex projects and tasks into something that is easily understood by colleagues.

? Collaboration skills within various other internal departments.
? Problem solving ability translated into written or presentation formats.
